Bread Pudding Recipe
Bread pudding is a great dessert any time of year but especially on a cool fall evening. Here's a easy to follow, basic bread pudding recipe for all to enjoy!
Ingredients for Bread Pudding:
-- 2 cups milk
-- 1/4 cup melted butter
-- 3 eggs
-- 1/2 cup sugar
-- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
-- Pinch of salt
-- 1 teaspoon vanilla
-- 6 cups bread cubes
Ingredients for Bread Pudding Sauce:
-- 1 cup sugar
-- 1 stick of butter
-- 1 egg
-- 1 teaspoon vanilla
-- 1/4 cup brandy alcohol
Directions for Bread Pudding:
1. Cut 6 cups of bread cubes and place in a greased baking dish.
2. Beat eggs, milk, butter, sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla until thoroughly mixed.
3. Pour mixed ingredients over bread cubes.
4. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight.
5. Bake the next day at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until crispy on top.
Directions for Sauce Topping:
1. While bread pudding is baking, mix sauce ingredients together in a medium sauce pan.
2. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
3. Once bread pudding has finished baking, pour sauce mixture over top.
Serve warm with whipping cream!
